Underground Storage Tank Questions, Answered

Pricing, lead times, TCEQ compliance, sizing, and what a turnkey build actually includes. If your question isn’t here, call 346-209-2032 — a real person answers.

Do you actually have underground storage tanks in stock near Houston?

Yes. Our yard is at 2801 Infinite Loop in Richmond, Texas, roughly 30 miles southwest of downtown Houston. The 32,000 and 40,000 gallon double-wall USTs listed on our inventory page are physically there, and the quantities shown are current. You are welcome to come look at a tank before you buy it.

How fast can a tank be delivered to a Houston job site?

Most Greater Houston deliveries leave within 2 to 5 business days of a signed order, depending on crane and site readiness. Fort Bend County sites are often quicker. Compare that with the four to six months the major build-to-order manufacturers are currently quoting.

What does a 32,000 gallon underground storage tank cost in Houston?

The tank itself is the smaller part of the number. Current stocked pricing is published on our inventory page. Installed cost — excavation, ballast and anchoring, piping, containment, dispensers, and monitoring — typically runs several times the tank price depending on site conditions. Our UST cost guide breaks the line items down.

Do you ship underground storage tanks across all of Texas?

Yes. Tank-only orders ship anywhere in Texas from our yard near Houston, including DFW, San Antonio, Austin, Corpus Christi, the Rio Grande Valley, West Texas, and the Panhandle. Freight is quoted per site so you see the real delivered number before committing.

Do you install outside the Houston area?

Full turnkey installation is concentrated on the Gulf Coast and the I-35 and I-45 corridors, where our crews already work. Elsewhere in Texas we supply the tank and can usually recommend a TCEQ-registered installer, or work with the contractor you already have.

What are the TCEQ requirements for a new underground storage tank in Texas?

In outline: notification to TCEQ before installation begins, a TCEQ-certified contractor performing or supervising the work, inspection and leak detection certification, and final registration before the system goes into service. Ongoing obligations continue after that. Our TCEQ registration guide walks through the full sequence, and forms should always be pulled fresh from TCEQ before filing.

Why are UST lead times so long right now?

Demand for new retail fuel sites has outrun the tank manufacturers, and steel UST production does not scale up quickly. The result has been quoted lead times in the four to six month range from build-to-order suppliers. Buying from stock sidesteps the queue entirely, which is the whole reason we carry inventory.

How quickly do you respond to a quote request?

Within two business hours. You do not need finished drawings — the city, expected monthly throughput, and whether you want installation is enough for us to give you real numbers on tank price, freight, and installation scope.

Do you sell aboveground storage tanks as well?

Yes. Alongside the stocked underground tanks we supply aboveground storage tanks, water storage, aviation fuel, agricultural, and custom specialty tanks. The stocked inventory is focused on USTs because that is where the lead-time problem is worst.

What is included in a turnkey fuel station build?

Excavation, deadman anchors and ballast, tank setting and backfill, double-wall underground product piping, sumps and containment, dispenser supply and setting, canopy and fascia, LED price signs, tank monitoring, and TCEQ registration — under one contract with one point of contact.

Can I see a tank before I buy it?

Yes, and we encourage it on a first order. The yard is at 2801 Infinite Loop in Richmond, Texas. Call ahead on 346-209-2032 and we will have the unit uncovered and accessible when you arrive.
